The ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025, Mainstreaming the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, reassures that the rights of persons with disabilities in all aspects should be upheld and protected, including their inclusion in Goal 13 (Climate Action) in SDGs. In recent research and studies conducted by the ADF have shown that persons with disabilities faced policies that hinder their participation on climate changes in the community. This lack of participation resulted in existing policies being silent from the voice of persons with disabilities, including its vulnerable groups.
on February 22, 2024 ADF held Hybrid Side Event Meeting via Zoom to present Findings and Recommendation of ADF Policy Brief on Inclusion Climate Change.
Dr. Srinivas Tata as Director, Social Development Division of ESCAP opened this event with Opening Remark from United Nations ESCAP, Bangkok.
